Africa Discovery Botswana 4-5 Star Safari
Duration: 10 days
Area: Khwai, Okavango Delta and Savute
Style: flying safari
Comfort Level:
A stunning offer in the 4 to 5 star category in 3 different areas of Botswana. These hand curated camps offer the best game viewing in Botswana. Experience the best of the Okavango Delta (in a private concession, at Little Sable) and some of the most iconic activities in Botswana for a great price.
Setari Camp, sits on a palm island in the north of the reserve and is the ideal spot to explore and marvel at all this watery wonderland has on offer. This is where you enjoy the bush and wildlife in mokoros, boats and game drives.
Savuti channel and marsh are one of my favorite areas in Botswana. Sometimes the channel is full and flowing and sometimes its dry. No matter what the weather is doing, the game viewing is always exciting and plentiful!

Consisting of Khwai Private Reserve and the popular Khwai Community Concession, this diverse area boasts excellent leopard and wild dog sightings. Safaris here depend on the camp and may take the form of guided walks, mokoro and boating excursions through lush waterways, and open vehicle game drives. Ideally head out early in the morning, as the sun starts to rise and animals are most active. A quick coffee stop is the perfect time to warm up and take in the incredible sounds of the bush and birdsong. During the heat of the midday sun, it’s often best to return to camp for a siesta before setting out again in the late afternoon when the bush comes alive. Should the option be available, perhaps spend some time in a hide, watching the creatures drawn to the water.

A varied landscape of floodplains, waterways and lagoons, open plains and forests, Moremi is an animal sanctuary with prolific animals and birdlife. Depending on the season, herds of elephant, red lechwe and sitatunga antelope may be seen. The ideal time to head out on safari is early in the morning, as the sun starts to rise, and animals are most active. Warm up with a quick coffee break and take in the incredible sounds of the bush and birdsong in this birders’ paradise. Retreat to camp for a midday siesta and in the late afternoon, set out again when the bush comes alive. If the option is available, boating excursions offer a new vantage point to appreciate the landscape from a different perspective.

A relic of an inland lake, the game rich Savute region of Chobe National Park is best known for the mysterious Savuti Channel and vast Savuti Marsh. Desolate, desert-like landscape is dominated by the marsh and rocky outcrops. The ideal time to head out on safari is early in the morning, as the sun starts to rise, and animals are most active. Look for herds of migratory zebra and wildebeest. A quick coffee stop while out on drive is the perfect time to take in the incredible sounds of the bush and birdsong. During the heat of the midday sun, it’s often best to return to camp for a siesta before setting off again in the late afternoon when the bush comes alive, and the waterholes are a magnet for thirsty wildlife. Should the option be available, a visit to see the baobabs and Bushman rock art is a special addition.
