Kigoma Hilltop Hotel is the ideal venue to host intimate wedding ceremonies and very popular for conferencing and incentive groups. Combine work and pleasure in this tranquil setting, at the end of the day relax on your veranda overlooking the Lake or cool off in the spectacular flower shaped swimming pool.

The hotel boasts two restaurants, serving dishes to suit everyone's taste. Enjoy freshly caught Nile Perch at the thatched open-deck poolside restaurant, overlooking the lake with a very relaxed and friendly atmosphere, or an authentic Indian dish in the Sangara Restaurant.

Kigoma Town

Home to the "Ha" tribe, which was the third largest tribe in Tanzania by the 1940's, the scenic town of Kigoma is the largest town on Lake Tanganyika and the gateway to Tanzania's Western Parks.

Gombe Stream and Mahale Mountains National Parks can be reached by boat from Kigoma, and the M.V Liemba ferry carries passengers and cargo the length of the lake from Kigoma all the way South to Mpulungu in Zambia.

Accommodation

Scattered along the edge of the hilltop lie 30 newly refurbished cottage type rooms all with a private verandah. Each air-conditioned room is modernly furnished, with a Television, refrigerator, electronic safe and an en-suite bathroom with a shower. The Suites are blended with an extra living room and en-suite bathroom with bath and shower.

Activities

For the energetic there are many water sports on offer; set off from the private beach and enjoy snorkeling to appreciate the great variety of fish in the lake. Fishing excursions and Boat Safaris are also on offer.

The hotel has a gym, pool table and darts board. In order to fully appreciate this fascinating town, take in a historical tour and visit Stanley and Livingstone's meeting place, or learn more about the Kigoma's way of life by visiting the local Fish markets.
