We have started with Nkonzi Camp as it offers an authentic yet gentle introduction to the bush environment of South Luangwa. Deep in the heart of South Luangwa National Park, Nkonzi Camp is a unique tented camp offering a remarkable safari experience. Nkonzi is small and intimate, a place where every guest receives personalized attention.

Then onto the Lower Zambezi which must be the highlight in our opinion. Kutali and Chula fly camps are operated between two very different sites on the beautiful eastern section of the lower Zambezi river - fully mobile - the camp has a well-stocked bar and seating area under canvas and ensuite bathrooms. The fly camps are light weight and a textbook example of how light luxury in the wilderness can be. Ending at Chundukwa River Lodge will give you the opportunity to wind down, enjoy the Zambezi River, the Falls and a chance to experience Livingstone and to learn about the local community (who are very dear to the owners, Doug and Gail).

Chundukwa River Lodge is a destination in itself, half an hour’s drive from Livingstone, 36km upstream of the Victoria Falls. Come here to retreat, relax, recover, horse-ride, bird-watch, cruise on the Zambezi, explore the Victoria Falls and try some of the adventure and safari activities in the area.

If you enjoy horse riding then we would suggest a 3- or 4-night stay at Chundukwa as Doug, who is a top horseman, has a wonderful stable of horses and offers a choice of riding safaris.

Day 1 - 4:

VIP Meet & Greet: OR Tambo International Airport

Welcome to Johannesburg! You will be met at the door of your aircraft with your name on a paging board. Should your arrival aircraft be directed to the apron and not the terminal, you will be transported to the terminal by bus. As you step off the bus, your Meet and Greet will be waiting for you with the paging board.

Your Meet and Greet will then assist you through immigration, baggage collection and customs and will then ensure that you are assisted to your onward flight.

Excludes: Flight from Johannesburg to Lusaka Airport

Proflight Scheduled Flight: AJ-AFP Cessna 401, Lusaka to Mfuwe

Shared road transfer: Mfuwe Airport to Nkonzi Camp

Your stay includes: All meals, local brand drinks, 2 scheduled safari activities daily, 1 x all-day drive, 1 x bush breakfast and return road transfers to/from Mfuwe Airport.

Day 5 - 6:

Scheduled Road Transfer - 20 Mins: Jeki airstrip to Kutali Camp

2 nights at Kutali Camp - Guest Tent

Your stay includes: All meals, local brand beverages, two scheduled safari activities daily, return Jeki airstrip transfers and limited laundry.

Camp activities include: Morning and afternoon game drives, walking safaris, canoeing, boating and fishing.

Day 7 - 8:

Scheduled Interlodge Transfer: Kutali Camp to Chula Island Camp

2 nights at Chula Island Camp - Tent

Your stay includes: All meals, local brand beverages, two scheduled safari activities daily, park fees and conservation fees, return Jeki airstrip transfers and limited laundry.

Camp activities include: Walking safaris, canoeing, boating and fishing. There are no vehicles on the island.

Day 9 - 10:

Scheduled Road Transfer - 40 Mins: Chula Island Camp to Jeki airstrip

Proflight Scheduled Flight: AJ-AFP Cessna 401, Jeki Airstrip to Livingstone Airport

Road Transfer: Livingstone Airport to Chundukwa River Lodge

2 nights at Chundukwa River Lodge - River Chalet (open fronted)

Your stay includes: All meals, house wine, beer and soft drinks, 1 Falls day trip with personal guide and vehicle, 1 sunset cruise, return Livingstone Airport transfers, laundry and Wi-Fi in the lounge area.

On their full day Falls trip guests will visit the Zambian side of the Falls, Livingstone town and the markets around town. Also includes transfers to any local third party activities booked at additional cost. A packed lunch is available on request as well as towels and raincoats.
