Itinerary
Day 1 - 2:
2 nights at Tongabezi, Victoria Falls, Zambia
WELCOME TO TONGABEZI
This award winning eco-lodge in Zambia leans into the tranquillity of its hidden location on the banks of the Zambezi River.
Combine romance and luxury with a hint of adventure as you relax just 12km upstream of Victoria Falls. Our joyous team welcome guests to a selection of Houses and Cottages, each embellished with interiors lovingly chosen from around Africa. Immerse yourself in nature and experience unique dining and river activities.
Day 3 - 4:
2 nights at Ila Safari Lodge, Kafue, Zambia
WELCOME TO ILA SAFARI LODGE
As a luxury tented lodge sensitive to the pristine ecosystem of Kafue National Park, Ila Safari Lodge is intimately woven into the stillness of its place on the Kafue River.
From environmentally friendly, locally sourced building materials and solar-powered electricity to development of Zambia’s first electric game drive vehicle, Ila is a truly environmentally conscious safari experience. Yet it still manages to effortlessly infuse modern African style, elegance and comfort to make this your unique bush retreat in the heart of Kafue.
Day 5 - 7:
3 nights at Chisa Busanga Camp, Busanga Plains, Zambia
WELCOME TO CHISA BUSANGA CAMP
After falling in love with the Busanga Plains, we built Chisa Busanga Camp to mimic its surrounds through beautiful architecture and environmentally conscious design.
Chisa is the Nyanja word for ‘birds nest’, and the rooms were inspired by the weaver bird nests that decorate the trees here. Sitting on a small tree-lined island, the camp uses only solar power as do the game drive vehicle and bicycles used to explore the watery dambos beyond.
Day 8 - 10:
3 nights at Shawa Luangwa Camp, South Luangwa, Zambia
WELCOME TO SHAWA LUANGWA CAMP
Our partnership with legendary guide, Jacob Shawa, not only inspired the name of Shawa Luangwa Camp; it created the foundation for us to bring Silent Safaris to the South Luangwa.
Like us, Jacob fell in love with the Zambian wilderness many years ago and has been deeply connected to it ever since. The spot where Shawa Luangwa sits overlooking the Luangwa River was handpicked by Jacob and is one of the park’s most untouched areas.
Day 11 - 13:
3 nights at Kaya Mawa, Lake Malawi
WELCOME TO KAYA MAWA
On the white sandy beaches of Likoma Island sits Kaya Mawa, a boutique lodge that welcomes honeymooners, families and friends for an indulgently carefree getaway.
Meaning ‘maybe tomorrow’ in Chichewa/Nyanja, the ethos of Kaya Mawa is in its name. Relaxed lakeside living is woven into the style, luxury and comfort of its Houses and Rooms. Dinner by starlight, massage therapy at our spa, and snorkelling in turquoise waters – it’s just another blissful day at Kaya.
Built by local hands and as Malawi’s first resort run solely on renewable-energy, Kaya Mawa is firmly grounded in sustainability, community empowerment and ethical trade.
